Oh my it has been way to long again!

I once again have failed to keep up with the family blog! I can't guarentee that I will do any better in the near future either. Just a quick update on the family.

Mason has learned how to ride his bike without training wheels. This week he learned how to start on his own....he doesn't need his mommy or daddy anymore for that. Next thing he won't need me to help him with anything else either.
He also is starting preschool Sept 15. He is excited to go! I know he will have a blast!

Emily is being a complete goofball and a slight stinker lately. She is starting to chat so much morning and talking with complete sentences. I have to remind myself that she is only 2 all of the time. But don't tell her that because she thinks she is 5! Got to love the terrible twos!!!

As you can see here she loves to go camping and understands the word "relaxin' by the fire"

As for me, I have been getting extremely busy with the photography and love it! In the next 5 weeks I have 3 weddings and a ton of shoots! I can't get enough of all of this either. I just really need to figure out the balance of everything because this is going to be the busiest stretch I have had! I can't wait though. I head to Manistee for a wedding Friday!

As for Tim, he is working a ton between both jobs and overtime! He is getting ready for his first annual "pigs on the water" campout in a week and a half. He is incharge of organizing these events for the union. So it is a weekend camping trip in Grant, with tubing and canoeing and maybe a little relaxing by the fire! We are looking forward to a weekend away, the two of us! That is our 5 year anniversary that weekend also!

So that is what is going on and hopefully I will remember to update again before summer is over :)

We Did It!!

So we bought a camper! It is a 25ft Rockwood 2006 travel trailer. Tim has been slightly obsessed with searching for the best "dutch" deal! And he finally found it! And man did he do an awesome job! We love it! It has a bunk room for the kids and a queen bed for us that is HEATED (perfect for the unexpected Michigan weather) ! We have taken a huge leap from our 1979 pop up that we were attempting to camp in! So many extras on this camper I can't even begin. I am looking forward to all of the amazing memories we are going to make with this. I hope to be able to let my kids experience what I got to as a child and travel! I can't wait to start using it! Until then I am sure we will be camping out in the driveway! I think the bathroom is bigger than ours anyway! :)

New camera and cute kids

For me the most exciting news is that I got a new camera!!! It is amazing and I can't get over the pictures I get from it! These are a few of the first pictures I took with it and can't get over the way their eyes just pop with it. Oh and I got a new lens so that helps also! My kids are really sick of me sticking it in their faces already. I got a ton of practice already with it with a wedding I did this weekend in Petoskey. What a beautiful way to break in the new piece of equipment!

The kids are having a blast playing outside lately. They are taking in a ton of sun so far this year! We have been spending as much time as possible at my Mom's pool. They also just love running around our backyard. This next picture is of Emily checking for junk in her bellybutton while sitting in a big dump truck.
Tim was teaching Mason how to play baseball a couple nights ago. I think Tim was into as much as Mason by the look on his face.
So then Emily had to get some attention learning how to play golf!

This picture is a must just to show off my baby girls outfit. Tim told me it was on the verge of "white trash" but I thought she looked pretty cute with her budda hanging out!

Topsail Island Day one!!

Well, we got here yesterday at about 1:30! We had a long drive but soooo worth it. We went swimming in the ocean and had ice cream on the pier. Life is so good!!! This morning we were up at 4:30 to head out fishing...and as you can tell we were successful!

Mason catching his first fish on the pier!

Emily caught a baby shark and she was so ecstatic!!!!

Mother's Day

So my weekend was amazing! It started out Saturday with a photography workshop that I got soooo much out of (pictures will be posted on my blog soon)! Then I got home to Tim cooking me my favorite meal...CHICKEN WINGS! Grilled and super spicy just like I like them! Then Sunday I slept in until 8:15 and got up to pancakes and strawberry sauce (another favorite) that the kids helped make!! Gift time came in there also, which was 2 one hour massages! One from each of the kids or maybe it was one for mothers day and one for my birthday that my husband forgot about (I think it was the latter of the two but that is just me ) Then the rest of the day was spent with my mom and Tim's mom! Loved my day and love my family soooo much! I am a lucky lady that is for sure!

Mushroom Hunting

Sunday we headed up north to look for mushrooms. It was so nice to just walk around the woods and be away from everything. I love our little family excursions! My dad headed up with us. We could have gone all day but the kids got sick of it after the first couple of hours. I was bummed they didn't want to play in the woods anymore because I was really enjoying myself. We found about 2 dozen (more like my dad found most). I kept a few and they were so good when I finally ate them!!!

We got to see a few wood cocks. We could walk right up on them which was cool for the kids to see. There was one I got a foot away from and was able to get a few cool pictures of and then she had two babies with her. I love being outdoors, you never know what you will see.

Mason and Emily were constantly falling down hence the picture with both on the ground. My dad nicknamed Emily "crash"!

Mason is a Soccer Player

Mason had his first soccer game tonight. Last week we assumed it would be canceled because it was raining/snowing and in the 30's. Well we were wrong. We got there, had no clue where to go and had to walk around to each of the eight teams to find out which team he was on. So we finally found his team. Mason was really shy at first, Tim had to stand in the field with him for the first fifteen minutes. Then after that he would run to us every few minutes. It was so cute. He was listening so intently to the coaches, half the time he would forget to really play. There is a half an hour of practice and then half an hour of game play. Mason had no clue what was going on at first but figured it out by the end. A couple of the kids on his team didn't really like playing in the rain so then Mason ended up playing the whole time. He was a trooper in the down pouring rain. I think he really enjoyed it and I loved watching him out there. Emily on the other hand, was pissed that she couldn't play also. I guess we will be signing her up when she is old enough.
