Well, we got here yesterday at about 1:30! We had a long drive but soooo worth it. We went swimming in the ocean and had ice cream on the pier. Life is so good!!! This morning we were up at 4:30 to head out fishing...and as you can tell we were successful!

Mason catching his first fish on the pier!

Emily caught a baby shark and she was so ecstatic!!!!

Mother's Day

So my weekend was amazing! It started out Saturday with a photography workshop that I got soooo much out of (pictures will be posted on my blog soon)! Then I got home to Tim cooking me my favorite meal...CHICKEN WINGS! Grilled and super spicy just like I like them! Then Sunday I slept in until 8:15 and got up to pancakes and strawberry sauce (another favorite) that the kids helped make!! Gift time came in there also, which was 2 one hour massages! One from each of the kids or maybe it was one for mothers day and one for my birthday that my husband forgot about (I think it was the latter of the two but that is just me ) Then the rest of the day was spent with my mom and Tim's mom! Loved my day and love my family soooo much! I am a lucky lady that is for sure!

Mushroom Hunting

Sunday we headed up north to look for mushrooms. It was so nice to just walk around the woods and be away from everything. I love our little family excursions! My dad headed up with us. We could have gone all day but the kids got sick of it after the first couple of hours. I was bummed they didn't want to play in the woods anymore because I was really enjoying myself. We found about 2 dozen (more like my dad found most). I kept a few and they were so good when I finally ate them!!!

We got to see a few wood cocks. We could walk right up on them which was cool for the kids to see. There was one I got a foot away from and was able to get a few cool pictures of and then she had two babies with her. I love being outdoors, you never know what you will see.

Mason and Emily were constantly falling down hence the picture with both on the ground. My dad nicknamed Emily "crash"!

Mason is a Soccer Player

Mason had his first soccer game tonight. Last week we assumed it would be canceled because it was raining/snowing and in the 30's. Well we were wrong. We got there, had no clue where to go and had to walk around to each of the eight teams to find out which team he was on. So we finally found his team. Mason was really shy at first, Tim had to stand in the field with him for the first fifteen minutes. Then after that he would run to us every few minutes. It was so cute. He was listening so intently to the coaches, half the time he would forget to really play. There is a half an hour of practice and then half an hour of game play. Mason had no clue what was going on at first but figured it out by the end. A couple of the kids on his team didn't really like playing in the rain so then Mason ended up playing the whole time. He was a trooper in the down pouring rain. I think he really enjoyed it and I loved watching him out there. Emily on the other hand, was pissed that she couldn't play also. I guess we will be signing her up when she is old enough.

Busy with Emily's Room and fun with the kids

Easter Morning:
Mason and Emily did great finding all of the eggs and thought it was pretty cool how many eggs were around. They loved their little baskets with just little things in it. After the egg hunt Tim made us a beautiful breakfast that was delicious! It was a beautiful day with the family and much needed relaxed day!

Well, we finally finished Emily's room! And we love it! We stripped the walls and plastered the big cracks last weekend and sanded all the trim and walls. Then Sunday I painted for almost 12 1/2 hours but got the room painted and a few coats on her bed and dresser. So then the rest of this past week I painted the bed and dresser a few more times (5 coats each total) , I made the curtains, redid the shelving in the closet and paited the mirror for her room. Then Saturday we tore out the old carpet and took on replacing the carpet. Tim had never done it before but did an awesome job! Overall, my little girl loves her new girly room and so do we! A lot of work but soooo happy with the outcome! Now we are just a little more motivated to do the rest of the house.....which means many many more hours of painting in my future! But so worth it in the long run when you see the finished product!

Tim used a knee kicker to stretch the carpet and tore apart his knees so the kids wanted to help the boo boo's . So the kids went and got the camoflage and dora bandaids and fixed him right up.They love taking good care of their daddy!

Birthday Fun!

Wow! My little boy is 4 years old already. And my little baby is already 2! I can't believe how fast it all has gone with them. I hope it slows down just a little so I can treasure it a little bit more. I have had so much fun these past 4 years that I can't wait for the rest! Hopefully they start getting along a little better though.
This past weekend they had two birthday parties. Saturday was their party for my side of the family. It was at Nora's house due to the fact that 20 people don't fit in our house. I am so thankful that she is willing to rent it out to us. The kids had so much fun, I just wish that it would have slowed down so I could have chatted with everyone a little bit. Mason chose to have homemade apple pie for his dessert (nice bonus for us that don't care for cake to much). He told me later that his favorite part was the pie! Then Sunday we went Tim's parents house for party number two. Once again a great time! It was a little more relaxed for us. But the kids had such a great weekend and were spoiled rotten. Thank you to everyone for everything!

Finally a wonderful few days outside and inside!

The kids and I played outside all day today! I can't tell you how happy we were to be out there! Yesterday we worked outside and cleaned up the yard and cleaned cars. I love the motivation I have again to get things accomplished now that it is nice out. I love working out in the yard and playing with the kids out there. Then this evening we grilled up some venison steaks on the grill, it was so good! Izzy has been loving the weather also. She is sleeping anytime that we are inside. I know the top picture is inside, this is what the kids were up to after nap time this afternoon. Emily was all dressed up with all of her hair clips thanks to Mason. She also is starting to potty train a little. She stayed dry for nap time and used the potty. She has been doing that for a while now but she won't let me know when she needs to go. I am in no rush but would love to be done changing diapers. Almost four years of it and ready to be done!
Well, enjoy the pictures! I am done rambling for now~
