Mason is a Soccer Player

Mason had his first soccer game tonight. Last week we assumed it would be canceled because it was raining/snowing and in the 30's. Well we were wrong. We got there, had no clue where to go and had to walk around to each of the eight teams to find out which team he was on. So we finally found his team. Mason was really shy at first, Tim had to stand in the field with him for the first fifteen minutes. Then after that he would run to us every few minutes. It was so cute. He was listening so intently to the coaches, half the time he would forget to really play. There is a half an hour of practice and then half an hour of game play. Mason had no clue what was going on at first but figured it out by the end. A couple of the kids on his team didn't really like playing in the rain so then Mason ended up playing the whole time. He was a trooper in the down pouring rain. I think he really enjoyed it and I loved watching him out there. Emily on the other hand, was pissed that she couldn't play also. I guess we will be signing her up when she is old enough.

Busy with Emily's Room and fun with the kids

Easter Morning:
Mason and Emily did great finding all of the eggs and thought it was pretty cool how many eggs were around. They loved their little baskets with just little things in it. After the egg hunt Tim made us a beautiful breakfast that was delicious! It was a beautiful day with the family and much needed relaxed day!

Well, we finally finished Emily's room! And we love it! We stripped the walls and plastered the big cracks last weekend and sanded all the trim and walls. Then Sunday I painted for almost 12 1/2 hours but got the room painted and a few coats on her bed and dresser. So then the rest of this past week I painted the bed and dresser a few more times (5 coats each total) , I made the curtains, redid the shelving in the closet and paited the mirror for her room. Then Saturday we tore out the old carpet and took on replacing the carpet. Tim had never done it before but did an awesome job! Overall, my little girl loves her new girly room and so do we! A lot of work but soooo happy with the outcome! Now we are just a little more motivated to do the rest of the house.....which means many many more hours of painting in my future! But so worth it in the long run when you see the finished product!

Tim used a knee kicker to stretch the carpet and tore apart his knees so the kids wanted to help the boo boo's . So the kids went and got the camoflage and dora bandaids and fixed him right up.They love taking good care of their daddy!
